The Jackson Hole Community School is much more than a school–it is a community of young people who are creative thinkers, engaged learners, and thoughtful members of their local and global societies.
We are passionate about being a small, tight-knit community because we know that educational spaces like ours—where every student receives the attention and care of every community member, students and staff alike—are rare. At JHCS, students regularly engage in mixed grade-level activities and build relationships with teachers outside the classroom in advisory programming, during community service projects, and on outdoor trips. The meaningful relationships created at JHCS last long after graduation, and the knowledge, skills, and character developed here prepare our students exceptionally well for college and life beyond. At graduation, many JHCS seniors cite the relationships built with every member of the community as one of the most impacting parts of the JHCS experience.
JHCS offers an intimate and engaging learning environment where students enjoy a healthy balance of challenge and support. We value character development and academic achievement and seek to enroll well-rounded students who arrive curious about the world, take initiative in learning, and value the strength of community.
The best way to learn more about JHCS is to come and experience it for yourself. We invite you to join us for arts performances, Research Night or Senior Symposium, our Indigenous Peoples' Day or MLK Day celebrations, and the
Admissions Events we host for prospective families. From campus tours to student shadow days to Open Houses, spending time on campus allows you to immerse yourself in our community and to experience our culture and our dedicated faculty and incredible students firsthand. To learn more, view our
